This Week On Couch Soup
A weekly recap of articles, videos, podcasts, and more.

The Truth is Out There: The X-Files Cast is Unhinged
I feel like the title says it all, but I can elaborate. As mentioned earlier, I headed to FanExpo in Denver once again to take part in the epic 4-day weekend. There were so many celebrities and so much to see that I couldn’t see everyone. However, the X-Files cast reunion was high on my list. After getting a picture with them, I wasted no time getting in line for their evening panel. It was chaos incarnate. The article explains why. Here’s to more unhinged panel experiences at future cons!
The Boys Season 5: That Series Finale Was SO Satisfying! | Watching Now
Boy, did The Boys final season deliver, or did it deliver?! In true finale fashion, the story pushes every character to their absolute edge. Is Butcher’s illness changing him from human? Can Homelander actually be stopped? The positive here is that these questions get answered. Join Iain and Lily in this Watching Now as they break down the final season of The Boys. Can it even shock them anymore? Find out!
TIP - Oh Hey! Us again. Another friendly reminder.
There are audio versions of every Watching Now available wherever you listen to your podcasts, so if watching isn’t your jam, plug your headphones in and carry on! While you’re at it, a review would help build the community even more. So turn on, tune in, nerd out, and leave a review when you can!
More epic moments; less epic money
Ubisoft is offering 85% off its subscription which means its game time forever. You get your pick of this game, or that game, this adventure, or that story, for so much less stress! Have you already platinumed Assassin’s Creed? Great, now’s your time to be a Star Wars Outlaw like you’ve always dreamed of. Everything is possible with the power of video games on your back, and Ubisoft is helping make that happen!
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved Review - Choosing Your Family
So that’s a long AF title for a film, but anime can get away with it. Especially because it’s Kyoto Animation; a favorite of our dear Tom. 5 years since the end of Season 2, this film attempts to bring the same charm and giggles as a much-shorter-than-feature-run-time episode. Does it translate? Tom breaks down the story and whether it’s enough to keep your interest for 105 minutes. The title has dragons in it, so I’m in. Have you watched it? Do your final thoughts align? Let’s see!
We’re Obsessed with Obsession
We may have a new Scream Queen and Horror movie director extraordinaire?! Andrea already wrote a perspective on this film, and Iain has another, but they agree on one point: the movie is great. The writing, characters, and scenery are all relatable (until they’re not), and Iain even saw some of himself in the main character. In a good way? Maybe, maybe not. Point is, it’s a film that makes us feel, and isn’t that why we escape to the theatre? Feel something other than our own traumas? Have you watched this new hit film? I know I’m going to.
